TWZB Vertical Synchronous Suction Pump
TWZB Vertical Synchronous Suction Pump
The TWZB Vertical Synchronous Suction Pump is a large-capacity, vertical-shaft centrifugal pump designed for water intake stations, flood control pumping stations, irrigation lift stations, and cooling water systems for power plants. The vertical shaft configuration allows the impeller to be submerged in the sump while the motor is mounted above flood level.
Synchronous motors are used (as opposed to induction motors) for high-efficiency operation at constant speed and the ability to provide reactive power compensation to the electrical grid. This is particularly valuable in large pumping stations where power factor correction is required.
The pump can be set to run in reverse as a turbine for energy recovery during high-water events, integrating with pump-turbine control systems.
