IJ/HJ Chemical Centrifugal Impurity Pump
The IJ/HJ Chemical Centrifugal Pump (also called an impurity pump) is designed for corrosive liquids that also contain solid impurities β a combination that destroys single-purpose corrosion-resistant or wear-resistant pumps. The wetted parts are manufactured from rubber-lined steel or high-chromium corrosion-resistant alloys that resist both chemical attack and abrasion simultaneously.
The IJ type (iron-rubber lined) is suitable for acidic abrasive slurries, while the HJ type (alloy-lined) handles higher concentrations and temperatures. Both feature a large flow passage impeller that passes solids without clogging.
Applications: fertilizer plant slurry transfer, phosphoric acid with gypsum solids, sulfuric acid pickle liquor with scale, metal ore flotation circuits, and ceramic slip transfer.
