Fluoroplastics-Lined Centrifugal Pump
The Fluoroplastics-Lined Centrifugal Pump features a carbon steel or ductile iron casing with a continuous fluoroplastic lining (PTFE, PFA, or ETFE) over all wetted surfaces, including impeller, casing, and all mating faces. This construction combines the structural strength of metal with the supreme chemical resistance of fluoroplastics at a lower cost than solid fluoroplastic construction.
The fluoroplastic lining is resistant to virtually all industrial chemicals including concentrated acids (HF, H₂SO₄, HNO₃, HCl), concentrated alkalis, oxidizers, and solvents. Operating temperature range is -20°C to +150°C (PFA lining).
The mechanical shaft seal uses PTFE-encapsulated O-rings and a SiC/SiC seal face for compatibility with aggressive media. Available with an optional second containment chamber for additional leakage detection.
