The CWB Magnetic Drive Vortex Pump combines the zero-leakage advantage of magnetic drive coupling with the vortex impeller design, creating a pump that can handle gas-entrained liquids, two-phase flow, and shear-sensitive media without seal leakage risk.
The vortex impeller (also called a recessed impeller or turbine impeller) operates outside the main fluid flow path, generating a vortex that carries fluid from suction to discharge without the impeller directly contacting the fluid. This allows gases up to 30% by volume to pass without cavitation or efficiency loss, and eliminates mechanical damage to shear-sensitive materials.
Applications include pharmaceutical crystalline suspension transfer, gas-entrained process liquids, volatile chemicals, and photographic emulsion handling where gentle, leak-free pumping is essential.
