2GAB Type Twin Screw Pump
2GAB Type Twin Screw Pump
The 2GAB Type Twin Screw Pump uses two intermeshing helical screws (rotors) that counter-rotate to create a series of closed fluid-carrying chambers that advance from suction to discharge. The positive displacement mechanism delivers smooth, near-pulsation-free flow regardless of viscosity, making twin-screw pumps ideal for delicate, shear-sensitive fluids.
Unlike single-screw pumps, twin-screw pumps can handle gas-liquid mixtures (multiphase flow) and tolerate temporary dry running without stator damage. They are widely used in crude oil unloading, marine cargo transfer, and multiphase production well applications where gas void fractions up to 90% can occur.
Available in externally-bearing (timing gear) and internally-bearing configurations, with heating jackets for high-pour-point petroleum products.
