Double Stage Screw Air Compressor
Double Stage Screw Air Compressor
The Double Stage Screw Air Compressor uses two compression stages in series β low-pressure (LP) and high-pressure (HP) β with an intercooler between stages. This arrangement reduces compression work by up to 15β20% compared to single-stage machines at the same outlet pressure, as compression of cooled gas requires less energy.
The two-stage design is particularly advantageous at higher pressures (13β16 bar) where single-stage machines become thermally stressed and inefficient. The intercooler also removes significant moisture before the second stage, reducing wear on HP components.
Ideal for high-pressure process applications, laser cutting, PET bottle blowing, foundry mold shooting, and pharmaceutical autoclave systems.
